Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Nameplate Data platform, API, MCP server, and related services (the "Services"), operated by AFE Leaks Research and Consulting, LLC d/b/a Nameplate Data ("Nameplate Data," "we"). By accessing the Services you agree to be bound by these terms on behalf of yourself and any organization you represent.
If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Services.
2. Accounts, seats & API keys
Free accounts may be created with a valid email address, directly or through Google sign-in, and receive limited data depth. Pro subscriptions are licensed per named individual. Team/API subscriptions are licensed to a single organization and include API and MCP access for that organization's internal use. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of credentials and API keys and for all activity occurring under them. Seats may be reassigned but not concurrently shared; API keys may not be shared outside the subscribing organization.
3. Fees, renewal & cancellation
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically — monthly for Pro, annually for Team/API — until cancelled. You may cancel at any time by emailing bd@nameplatedata.com or through the Stripe billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are not refunded for partial periods. We may change prices with notice to you; price changes apply from your next renewal. Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which are your responsibility.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the Services for internal diligence, research, and investment analysis. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly republish the underlying data except as permitted in writing, and you may not use the data to build or train a competing dataset or product. Automated scraping of the platform outside the provided API is prohibited. API usage is subject to the rate limits of your tier.
5. Data, sources & scores
Nameplate Data aggregates public filings, utility and county records, regulatory testimony, corporate disclosures, and trade press. Each published fact carries its source; where a claim cannot be verified against a project-specific source, we decline to count it and record the refusal.
Scores and verdicts are analytical opinions derived from this evidence and are provided for informational purposes only. Scores are model-derived indicators on a 0–100 scale; they are not calibrated probabilities, forecasts, or investment advice, and they should not be the sole basis for any investment or financing decision. Nameplate Data is a publisher of research and data; it is not a registered investment adviser and does not provide individualized investment advice.
6. Intellectual property
The platform, models, scoring methodology, and presentation are the property of AFE Leaks Research and Consulting, LLC. Watchlists and workbench preferences are stored locally in your browser and remain yours; our servers hold only your account and usage records.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Services are provided "as is." While we strive for accuracy and cite a source for every published figure, Nameplate Data does not warrant that scores, evidence, or source links are complete or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding a claim, and in no event will Nameplate Data be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Term & termination
Either party may terminate for material breach with notice. On termination your access and API keys are deactivated, and account records are deleted on request, subject to legal retention requirements. Watchlists and workbench preferences live only in your browser and are yours to keep or clear.
9. Governing law & venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and each party consents to the jurisdiction of those courts.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated to account administrators. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
